Not every person can afford to use the services of a professional designer to make the interior of a house or apartment truly stylish, original and unusual - unlike standard solutions.

But what if classic flower wallpapers or simply painted walls are already tired of you, and your soul requires something new and more sophisticated?

Well, then it's time to try yourself in a new quality - in the role of that same interior designer, and do the repair of your dreams yourself.

Believe me, this is not difficult at all, and most importantly, it is available to everyone. You will only need diligence and perseverance.

In this review, the author offers a cool idea for wall decor. And you only need paint and a lace napkin for dishes for this, which you can buy inexpensively in the store.

Preparation for work

For work, the author uses a lace napkin made on the basis of silicone (or rubber). Such napkins are now very popular, and are inexpensive. The napkin itself acts as a stamp with which you can transfer a beautiful pattern to the wall.

It is desirable that the edges of the napkin are smooth - then there will be no problems with the joining of patterns. If the edges are with lace, then you just need to carefully trim them with scissors.

Next, you need to make a dark background on the wall. For this, the author uses white acrylic water-based paint and blue color. You can use another color, which you like best.

The author himself decided to make the “imprint” on the wall with golden paint, which blends very well with the dark background. But you can experiment with colors and shades as your heart desires.

The main stages of work

The sequence of operations is as follows: first you will need to prepare the base of the wall: to putty and sand. Then we must be primed.

Next, roll the wall in a dark color. After drying, on a flat plane (for example, a piece of fiberboard), we apply a golden paint roller, and then apply the prepared napkin.

Be sure to roll it on top with a wallpaper roller so that the napkin is evenly pressed along the entire plane. This is very important, otherwise the “imprint” on the wall will not be complete.

Well, then carefully remove the napkin and apply it to the painted wall. Holding it by hand, roll out with a roller. And so we transfer lace patterns to a section of the wall or the entire wall.
