In order to make a skirt-tutu we will need (Measurements are taken based on the length of the skirt 25 cm. When making the skirt is longer, the amount of tulle used must be increased.):
- tulle 2 mx 1.5 m (1 m white, 0.5 m red, 0.5 m pink);
- scissors;
- threads;
- a needle;
- an elastic band with a width of at least 2.5 cm (in order to correctly determine the required length of the elastic, measure the waist of the child and subtract 2 cm from the obtained value);
1. Take cuts of tulle and cut them into strips. Strip width - 25 cm, length - 50 cm.
2. Sew the elastic band. We put it on the legs or back of the chair and proceed to the assembly of our tutu skirt.
3. Take a strip of red tulle and tie it with an elastic band (the elastic should never be pulled, otherwise it will fold and twist when worn).
4. Tie the ends of the strip one more time to form a strong knot.
5. In this way, we knit all subsequent strips of tulle, alternating colored stripes with white, to create the desired pattern. For this skirt, the stripes of tulle were taken in the following sequence:
- 1 red stripe;
- 1 pink stripe;
- 1 red stripe;
- 5 white stripes.
6. We tie strips of tulle, moving them tightly to each other, until there is no space left on the elastic band. The more strips of tulle will be used, the more magnificent the skirt will turn out.
7. Remove the skirt from the legs of the chair and evenly straighten all the stripes of tulle with an elastic band.
8. Now our tutu skirt is completely ready to please our little owner.
