If you still decide to transform the look of your room and the installation of a metal-plastic door will be done on your own, you must act strictly according to plan. If the door is indoors - it needs to be dismantled. Clean out all construction residues so that the base of the walls and floor is free of debris. After that, make a measurement of the doorway. If the door is entrance, knock down the plaster only at the corners to the base of the walls and floor. Then make a measurement of the doorway at the prepared points.
In order for the installation of a metal-plastic door to go smoothly, it is necessary to carry out the correct door order. From the taken sizes it is necessary to take away 1 cm from each side and only by such sizes order a door. This is provided that the doorway is level. If one of its sides is larger than the other, then the order must be made according to the size of smaller sides.
After placing the order, the door is made for about a week. When it is ready and delivered to the desired room, the installation of the metal-plastic door begins directly. First of all, the door must be removed from the hinges so that one frame remains. Then insert this frame into the doorway and set it strictly according to the level. If necessary, secure it with wedges. Then fill the entire space between the base of the doorway and the frame with mounting foam. In this condition, leave the door frame until the foam completely dries. It usually takes about 12 hours. After this time, with a clerical knife, cut off the remnants of the dried foam that protrude outward. After that, you can hang the door in place. Be sure to adjust it so that the door does not rub against the frame anywhere, the lock and latch easily turn around, and the tongue on the handle sits in its place. If necessary, all mechanisms can be lubricated with a special tool WD-40.
At the final stage of installation, it is necessary to plaster the mounting foam. To do this, it is best to use glue for ceramic tiles. When dried, it keeps well on the wall. You can also use ordinary plaster (cement with sand). Then you need to remove the protective film from the door frame and the door itself. Wipe them from dust and other contaminants. And at this stage, the installation of a metal-plastic door is considered complete.
