On the Internet you can find many "simple" ways to cut a glass bottle the first time and without chips, however, many of the options presented require some effort, and such homemade products are not always structurally simple. We bring to your attention a bottle cutting machine that is easy to do with your own hands.
As a basis, we will use a piece of rectangular plywood with side dimensions of 60x20 mm. This version of the machine will be water-cooled, so a plastic container is needed to collect the liquid. Under it, using a jigsaw, we cut a square hole in a plywood sheet.
Performance of work
Then we install the base for the machine on wooden blocks fastened together on self-tapping screws. On the outer surface, we install side walls from pieces of fiberboard, as well as fasten the pedestal for the flexible shaft of the drill, on which we install a diamond blade for cutting glass.
We fix a plastic container on the bottom of the base, and on top - we need to fix a 0.5 liter plastic bottle in which there will be water (we connect a thin hose to it). You will also need to protect against fragments from plastic boxes for storing CDs.
We install a glass bottle, bring a hose to the place of the cut, then we supply water and turn on the drill. Slowly turn the bottle clockwise until completely cut. Turns are best set to minimum so as not to overheat the glass.
