If there is no factory rivet on hand, then temporarily (or even permanently) you can get by with a homemade nozzle for a drill or a screwdriver for threaded rivets. You can make this nozzle with your own hands from available materials.

For this homemade product you will need a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of about 30 mm, two long bolts of different diameters, an elongated nut and a handle from an angle grinder. If there is a lathe, the handle can be made independently.

First of all, cut a piece of suitable length from a round pipe. Then a strip of at least 40 mm wide is required. It is necessary to cut two circles out of it. Previously, they need to drill through holes in the center.

The main stages of work

Next, one of the bolts must be welded to the elongated nut (the hat is welded to the end). We clean the welding seam with an angle grinder. On the side of the nut, it will be necessary to weld a piece of metal strip (perpendicular to the bolt stud). We weld plates on both sides.

In a segment of a round steel pipe using a grinder, two small slots should be made under the “wings”, which are welded to an elongated nut. Then we insert a nut with a bolt into the pipe, at the ends we weld plugs with holes in the center.
