Karambit is a fairly well-known kind of knife, and therefore does not need to be introduced. But a couple of words about him are still worth mentioning. This knife does not look like classic blades - first of all, it differs in a sickle-shaped blade, the sharpening of which is usually from the inside.

And the second difference of kerambit from traditional knives is the presence of a hole for a finger at the end of the handle. In general, the appearance of kerambit is quite aggressive and bold. Ideal for men.

Usually, noble steel grades are used to make kerambit knives, but the author decided to prove that even using simple metal (a plow disk) can make a cool blade that can be comfortable to sit in your hand, and outwardly it’s not a miss.

The main stages of work

The first step is to cut off a suitable piece with a rounded edge from the plow disk. Then the master heats the plate to red and aligns it on the anvil. And then on the front surface of the metal blank you need to glue a paper template.

In accordance with the marking on the template, it is necessary to drill through holes in the plate. Then the master cuts the knife blank with a grinder.

At the last stage, it will be necessary to carefully process the workpiece, as well as to make the edges of the blade. Then follows the sharpening of the blade, hardening, followed by cooling in oil and tempering.

In general, standard procedures in the manufacture of any knife. Details on how to make your own homemade kerambit knife from a piece of plow disk can be found in the video on the website.
