For a more convenient and precise adjustment of the hinged cabinet door, you can make one very simple fixture. With the help of this homemade product, you can set hinged cabinet doors or bedside tables in height up to hundredths of a millimeter.

And to make this home-made device with your own hands will not be difficult even for a novice furniture maker. To do this, you will need four wooden blocks (can be made of plywood): two short and two long, as well as a wing bolt and a mortise nut.

We cut the bars of the desired size, and then glue them together with a step using carpentry glue. At the end of one of the long bars we install a mortise nut. Then a wing bolt is screwed into it.

How to use the hinged door adjustment tool

First of all, we install the adjuster so that the top block is in contact with the shelf in the cabinet, and the bottom (with the wing bolt) is directly under the hinged door.

Between the edge of the door and the bolt pin it is necessary to lay a lining of fiberboard or other thin material.

Please note that the upper block, which rests on the shelf of the cabinet, will need to be fixed with a clamp. Now, by screwing the bolt into the nut, you can raise the door to the required height. Having caught the necessary position, we fasten the hinges.
