In this review, the master shows how to make a folding chair with your own hands from wooden blanks, which you can take with you to the cottage, on a camping trip or fishing.

The first step will be to file the blanks from which the chair will be made. The following blanks are required: two wooden planks 75x4.3 cm 18 mm thick, two planks 58x4.3 cm 18 mm thick and two planks 25x4.3 cm 18 mm thick.

It will also be necessary to saw two planks 30x3.5 cm 12 mm thick, one plank 26x3.5 cm 12 mm thick and cut several planks: one with dimensions 30x8.5 cm 12 mm thick and three with dimensions 26x8.5 cm 12 mm thick .

The main stages of work

First of all, the author makes markings on the blanks to drill mounting holes. The edges on the planks need to be rounded. The author simply cuts them on a band saw, but you can do this on a grinding machine.

At the next stage, you can proceed with the assembly of the stool. First, the author collects the seat. Next, two bars are attached to the seat on bolts, which the author connects with the help of a bar.

After this, the second part of the structure is made, and then both parts will need to be interconnected.

The result is a very compact, lightweight and comfortable high chair with a back, which you can take with you when you go out into the countryside. To protect the product, it is recommended to coat the wood with varnish.
