A hermetic bag is an indispensable thing for a hike. If you rarely engage in tourism, then most likely you will not find a waterproof cover on the farm.

In this review, the author tells how to make a cover from improvised means that is not inferior in quality to the factory one.

You will need approximately seven plastic bags. Cut off their handles and the bottom seam, and then cut them to the side to make a rectangle.

It is not necessary to pick up packages of the same size. But it is better that they are not biodegradable (this is written on the package).

The main stages of work

Next, cut a piece from a roll of baking paper and carefully iron a few bags at low temperature with an iron.

Thus, glue together all the layers. It is important that cellophane does not melt from the heat, but simply stick together.

Next, trim the jagged edges. This will be most conveniently done using a long metal ruler and a torch.

After cut out the window and on top, also using an iron, attach a dense transparent film.

Now fold the future cover in half and iron the edges together to half. It is especially important at this stage to fuse the plastic well.

Now cut a strip about two centimeters wide from the plastic bottle.

After applying it to the free edge of the cover, make three folds, ironing them carefully. After wrapping the strip in plastic, fastening each fold with an iron.

On the other hand, by analogy, attach nylon tape. Its free ends should correspond to the width of the cover. Now put on the plastic fastex clasp on the strap.

Now everything is ready - you can use your pressure bag. Double the edge and fasten the tape.

Of course, such a cover can be purchased at a tourist store, but if on the night before the trip you remembered the absence of a useful accessory, this method will be a great alternative.
