In this review, the master shows how you can make an exclusive decorative element with your own hands from an ordinary square profile pipe (the size of the sides can be different - at your discretion).

To do this, you need a profile pipe itself with a wall thickness of at least 3 mm, a grinder with a cutting and flap wheel, a welding machine, a square and a marker.

We retreat from the edge of the profile 5-6 cm and do the markup. Then, on each side of the profile pipe, the author draws two parallel lines.

We also recommend reading: how to make a decorative element from a regular profile pipe.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, on two sides of the profile pipe, the author draws two triangles, and cuts out this part.

Using it as a template, the author makes a markup along the entire length of the profile. And then cuts out the marked out places.

Then all the cut out details will need to be sanded (especially the edges - so that there are no burrs), and welded back to the profile pipe.

The author inserts the cut pieces with the outside in the profile, and fixes by welding. Welds will need to be cleaned with a grinder with a petal disk.
