To make this homemade product, the author uses a fan from a computer power supply and a transition for a plastic sewer pipe from a large diameter to a smaller one (from 250 mm to 100 mm).

The first step is to place the fan inside the PVC junction. But for this, you must first cut the fan casing according to the inner diameter of the pipe.

In the transition itself (in the place where the cooler will be located), a hole must be drilled so that the wire can be pulled out.

On the other side of the plastic transition, the master decided to install an additional fan, but already smaller, and with a metal grill.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it is necessary to drill a hole in the junction in order to insert a 90-degree bend with a diameter of 32 mm into it through which dust will be taken.

Next, the assembled structure from the transition, exhaust and two fans is inserted into a plastic sleeve of a suitable size. A plug is installed at the other end of the coupling. And it turns out a kind of "bucket" for collecting dust.

Of course, the design is quite primitive and requires some refinement, but as an idea it has a right to be. You can watch more details on how to make a simple dust collector from a fan and a plastic pipe with your own hands in the video on our website.
