For many, fat is almost the most favorite product. With and without a layer, thin and thicker, salted in various ways. Each species has its own fans. In the winter cold, it will give a feeling of satiety, in the summer heat, thinly cut lard will refresh and cool. And it is best to salt the lard yourself, because you can always pick up your favorite spices to get the right taste. Today I want to offer the simplest, you can say, the basic way, this is salting fat with garlic. Everything is very simple, generously roll the pieces in a mixture of salt and seasonings, put in a bag and send in the refrigerator for a day. Thus, having spent only 5 minutes of time, it will soon be possible to enjoy delicious and aromatic salted lard.

Ingredients


  • fresh bacon 400 g
  • garlic 4-5 cloves
  • salt 2 tbsp
  • coriander 1 tbsp
  • pepper mixture 1 tsp
  • bay leaf 3 pcs.

Step-by-step recipe for salting salted


Prepare everything you need. Cut the fat into pieces, the size is about 10x5 cm. But the smaller they are, the faster the salting process will occur. If chopped finer, homemade lard will be ready in half the required time. It is desirable that the bacon is fresh, not frozen, and of high quality, the taste of the final product directly depends on this.

Pour salt and seasonings into the mortar, break the bay leaf with your hands. The mixture can be made by grinding everything in a coffee grinder or using ready-made ones. But freshly ground spices taste much more intense.

Grind well with a pestle. Add chopped garlic.

Mix and pour onto a flat plate. Generously roll each piece of bacon on all sides.

Fold in a sturdy plastic bag.

Tie up, trying to leave as little air as possible inside. Put in the refrigerator for a day.

In a few hours it will become noticeable that the lard has become a little wet, which is good. It is advisable to periodically mix and turn the contents of the bag for more uniform salting.

After 24 hours you can try. For long-term storage, pieces of fat together in a bag should be placed in the freezer.
