How to unscrew a lapped screw

This is a very common problem when the slots for a screwdriver are screwed off with a screw, screw or self-tapping screw. This can happen for various reasons: the screwdriver was incorrectly selected, the force was not applied correctly, and so on. In the end, it would seem that the situation is almost hopeless and will have to make a lot of efforts to unscrew, for example, a screw with lapped edges.
It is not always as difficult as it may seem. I will show a very simple way how to turn off the taped self-tapping screw. And for this, absolutely no wise materials and tools will be needed.

A simple way to unscrew a lapped screw

All you need is a small piece of rubber or rubberized material. Suitable: medical harness, rubber from a bicycle or car camera, rubber ball, etc.
In general, we cut out a small rectangle from what is. We put on top of the lapped self-tapping screw. We rest against a screwdriver and quietly begin to unscrew.
Yes, it's that simple! The main thing is to direct more effort to pressure from above on the self-tapping screw.
After several revolutions in the rubber, the edges can be imprinted and the screwdriver will begin to scroll. To do this, transfer the rubber to a new surface and continue to unscrew the screw further.
I did this with a tourniquet and a camera from a bicycle folded in half. The result is excellent, everything is unscrewed without problems.
This was the easiest way to unscrew the lapped screw without using a drill or other tricky devices. Also the fastest. So friends, take advice into service.
