Most often, ordinary incandescent lamps, after they have exhausted their life (that is, simply burned out), we throw in the trash. But in vain! After all, they will make beautiful decorative candles that will delight you with their soft and warm glow at night.

Manufacturing process

First you need to make a reliable wooden stand, on which the candle lamps will be fixed. And it is best to use a bar with a beautiful texture - for example, from a fruit tree. For many, it will not be difficult to get a log of pear, apple or cherry from which you can cut such a workpiece.
After you have processed the wooden stand (you have given it the desired shape and polished it), it is necessary to cover it with colorless varnish so that the wood texture appears as much as possible. Further in the central part of the workpiece at some distance from each other (depending on the diameter of the lamps) you need to make small recesses.

Go to the decor

Saw off the base part from the two bulbs and “gut” all the insides out of them so that in the end only the glass shell remains. The edges of the lamps must be sanded. In the recesses on the stand, it is necessary to pour glue and "put" prepared glass "jars" on it (you can install them vertically or at an angle).

At the last stage, it remains only to find or carve out independently two metal caps with a hole for the wick. Well, then everything is simple - we pour special oil into the bulbs, which allows you to get a certain flame color (for example, green or blue), immerse the wick, close the whole thing with a lid and light it.

Such a homemade product will be an excellent decoration of the home interior, and make it easier than ever. See the detailed manufacturing process in the video on our website.
