This simple device is useful to everyone who often has to deal with welding and assembling various metal structures. For its manufacture, you will need accessible materials - this is a steel sheet 6 mm thick, two pieces of a profile pipe with sides 40x25 mm, three nuts, two bolts and two M12 washers, a sleeve and a wing.

All these materials are available in almost every workshop or garage. In extreme cases, they can be bought at any hardware store at an affordable price. Well, now we proceed directly to the manufacture of a home-made square pattern for welding.

The main stages of work

First of all, it is necessary to cut off the edges of the profile pipes with a grinder at an angle of 45 degrees. It is advisable to immediately process the cutting sites with a file or the same angle grinder to remove burrs. Two blanks are cut from a sheet of sheet metal, in which one hole must be drilled. They need to be mounted on a bolt with a sleeve and securely fixed by welding.

The resulting part is then welded to two pieces of profile pipes installed at an angle of 90 degrees. It will also be necessary to cut out two sheets of a quadrangular shape from sheet metal and weld them to the profile pipes perpendicular to each other. Now the tool is ready to use.

For a detailed process of making a home-made square pattern for welding, see the video on our website. The design of this device itself is very simple, so everyone can make such a tool.
