A homemade rocket mini-oven is useful both in traveling conditions and during work in the country - you can quickly cook or warm food on it, as well as boil water. Moreover, this will require a minimum of solid fuel materials (branches, tree bark, etc.), which are always at hand.
The main stages of work
For the manufacture of a combustion chamber, you can use a square thick-walled profile pipe with side dimensions of 150x150 mm and a length of 30-40 cm. We measure a piece of profile that is suitable in size and cut it off with a grinder. The edges must be cleaned with a grinding wheel.
Next, at a 45-degree angle, cut off a piece of a round thick-walled pipe up to 50 cm long. A docking hole will need to be cut under it in the profile. Two angles with a small gap are welded to one of the ends of the profile so that a valve from a steel plate can be inserted.
A handle is welded to the valve (a piece of round bar can be used for this). Then a wide strip is cut from sheet metal, at the end of which you need to drill holes to get a perforated lattice. The steel strip must be welded to the inside of the combustion chamber by placing two pieces of the profile pipe under it.
At the last stage of work, a round pipe is welded to the main chamber at an angle of 45 degrees and the legs are attached, which can be used with hex bolts. For a step-by-step process of manufacturing a rocket mini-furnace, see the video on our website.
