You can assemble a powerful flashlight with an LED and a magnifying lens with your own hands - for this you do not need to have special knowledge in electronics. Everything is done elementarily simple. The case is made of ordinary PVC pipe, and the remaining components can be purchased on the Internet.

For this homemade product you will need a small piece of a regular plastic pipe with a diameter of 34 mm with a plug, an adapter plastic sleeve 60x34 mm, as well as other accessories that will be inside the flashlight body:

  • aluminum radiator with 5v fan;
  • LED lens and LED DC 3.7V 20W;
  • 2 rechargeable batteries 26650 (at 4000 mAh);
  • protection module from the board with charging at 3.7v;
  • power adapter for charging batteries;
  • button or toggle switch on / off.

The main stages of work

First of all, we determine the length of the LED flashlight (so that two batteries fit inside), and then cut off a piece of a suitable size from the plastic pipe. Next, we attach the LED to the aluminum radiator, after having previously applied a thin layer of thermal paste to the surface of the radiator.

A magnifying lens with a reflector is mounted on the LED. A fan is mounted on the other side of the radiator. Then we put the assembled block of elements into the adapter sleeve, having “increased” it a little in height. We place two rechargeable batteries inside the pipe itself, and at the junction of the pipe and coupling we make a landing "socket" under the on / off button.

At the last stage of work, we connect the main elements with wires and carry out the final assembly of the flashlight. The surface of the body can be painted. The result is a fairly powerful flashlight that can work offline for a long time. See the detailed assembly process in the video on the site.
