To quickly close the seams on the surface of decorative stone or other facing materials, a simple home-made device is useful. A manual tool for filling seams can be made with your own hands from an old Soviet-style aluminum meat grinder.

It is clear that manually turning the handle of the meat grinder is inconvenient, therefore it is better to use an electric drive. A screwdriver or cordless drill is perfect for this (but you can also use a power drill).

The main stages of work

To make a home-made tool for filling the seams, we will use a conventional aluminum meat grinder (it is better not to take a cast-iron meat grinder - it is hard to hold it in your hand, especially with large volumes of work).

Using the angle grinder, we cut off the lower part of the meat grinder (it can then be used to make a joiner's mini-clamp), and also remove the handle - it will not be needed in this case.

From a sheet of PCB or similar solid material, you need to cut a round part and make five holes in it. This part is installed instead of the metal grill. You can leave the meat grinder knife - it will grind the lumps of the solution.

At the next stage, we screw a bolt into the hole in the screw shaft and cut off the cap (you can just use the pin). Now, such a shank can be clamped in a drill or screwdriver chuck without any problems. Then proceed to the assembly of the device.

We also put a piece of plastic bottle on the receiving tray to increase the volume of the working chamber. At the exit of the meat grinder, we install a nozzle with a nose. By the way, it is better to seal the cavities in the cylindrical part of the meat grinder with silicone so that the surface is even and smooth.
