As the basis for this homemade fit old kitchen knife. In addition, you will also need one small bolt or stud M5, two washers with a large hole and four nuts. Here from such simple materials that are in every workshop, you can make a useful homemade product.
The main stages of work
First of all, you need to drill a hole with a diameter of 5 mm under the M5 bolt in the old knife. You can, of course, use another bolt, then the hole should be of a suitable diameter. Then you need to trim the excess part of the knife at an angle of 45 degrees.
The remaining "stub" of the knife blade must be sharpened on an emery machine. Trying to make perfect sharpening is not necessary, but it is desirable that the blade is sharp, otherwise it will be bad to cut the cable insulation.
Then we insert a hairpin or a piece of a bolt without a hat with a diameter of 5 mm into the drilled hole, and fix it with four nuts (two pieces on each side). By the way, for convenience, two extreme nuts can be used with a wing type.
