Of the old pliers, whose lips are "licked", you can make a simple adapt to unscrew the bolts and nuts. In this case, we are talking about bolts and nuts that do not give in if you try to unscrew them with an ordinary open-end wrench or ring spanner.
For the manufacture of home-made tools, in addition to old pliers, you will need other materials: two pieces of studs of different diameters, two elongated nuts, and also four nuts of a standard shape.
The homemade product itself is very simple and to make it take literally 15-20 minutes of time. From the tool for work, you only need a grinder and a welding machine.
The main stages of work
First, we weld two large nuts to the lips of the pliers, into which we then screw a segment of a stud of a suitable diameter. Then we take the second piece of a hairpin or, for example, a piece of a long bolt without a hat, and we wind on it two elongated and two ordinary nuts.
The resulting part must be welded to two large nuts on the lips of the pliers. After that, we clean the places of welding with a grinder.
At the last stage of work in the middle of a long hairpin, you need to make a small depression using angle grinders or dremel. Then we collect all the details in the reverse order. The result is a simple device for unscrewing bolts and nuts from old pliers.
