Want to add some zest to the interior? Then you can make your own cool and a little unusual mini-bar in the form of a huge hammer.

It will ideally fit into the “working” interior (for example, a home workshop or garage), and will also take its rightful place inside a country house or apartment.

To make a hammer, a sheet of metal with a thickness of 1.5 mm is quite suitable for this, which must be cut into individual blanks. In a constructive way, a makeshift hammer consists of several logical parts: the central part, which can be made from a single strip of metal with a width of 320 mm, and two covers.

The main stages of work

We cut off the blanks of the required size, after which we mark and make cuts with the help of a grinder. After that, bend the metal and additionally boil the bend. Of course, it’s easier to bend parts using a bending machine. However, if it is not at hand, then the only way out.

After the central part of the hammer and side covers have been scalded, we weld all three parts together. Please note that we do not weld the side covers completely - on the one hand only on tacks. Then we attach ordinary loops in marked places and weld them. Then we cut the tack and install the locks.

At the last stage of work, we do metal etching. Then we make a metal handle, and also collect a wooden box, which we install inside the hammer. For more information on how to make an unusual mini-bar with your own hands, see the video on the website.
