Having performed a small refinement of the most ordinary pliers, you can slightly expand their functionality. For example, such a revision will make it possible to use the tool in cramped conditions. Very comfortably. Moreover, you can modify the pliers within one hour.
To put this idea into practice, you will need two bolts and four nuts of different diameters. You will also need an angle grinder and a welding machine.
First of all, remove the plastic linings and cut off the handle grinder almost under the "root". Then we process the cut points on the handles and the head with clamping jaws on a belt grinding machine or using a flap disc of an angle grinder.
The main stages of work
In the next step, we weld two bolts to the head. We clean the seams with a grinder. We weld nuts larger than the diameter of the bolts to the handles. Then we clean the seams and connect the updated handle of the pliers with the head.
We fix the handles with nuts, after which we put on them the removed plastic linings. Now the pliers appeared before us in a completely new way.
In the normal "mode", you can work with such a tool in the same way as with ordinary pliers. And in cramped conditions, the handles can be rotated 90 degrees.
