Often, in practice, one has to deal with such situations when it is necessary to tighten or unscrew a screw (or bolt), but it is inconvenient to crawl up to it with a screwdriver or an electric drill. However, there is a simple solution to this problem.

The author proposes to make with his own hands a simple device for tightening screws and bolts using gears from a burned-out angle grinder gearbox.

The first step is to disassemble the old grinder. Of the main spare parts for the manufacture of a home-made device, two gears from a gearbox will be required: small and large. From a half-inch pipe, the master cuts a piece 11 cm long.

The main stages of work

A small gear needs to be welded to the end of a metal bar with a diameter of 6 mm. The bar is placed in a pipe segment, the ends of which are welded with washers. Then you need to connect the two parts of the homemade product. For this, two pieces of steel strip 30 mm wide are used.

The master welds a nut to the side of the pipe segment so that you can install the handle from the grinder. Then, to the bolt, on which there is a large gear, you need to weld the sleeve. It has a “mounting socket” for installing bits for screws and bolts.

At the last stage, it remains only to clean the welds and paint the fixture. To test it in work, the free end of the bar must be inserted into the drill chuck or screwdriver.
