Very often in the process of repair work (at the initial stage) there is only a cartridge at the facility, but there are no sockets. Accordingly, connecting a tool (grinder, drill, etc.) is problematic. A similar situation arises when it is necessary to perform any work in the stairwell.

How to be in this situation? In this case, you can make a universal outlet with your own hands. This homemade product will allow you to use a light bulb, as well as connect a tool or extension cord to the mains, which is very convenient.

What materials will be required to make a universal repairman outlet? Yes, the simplest ones are a box, a twin socket, a lamp base, a single-button switch, and a bulb holder. All this can be inexpensively bought in a store or in the market.

The main stages of work

First of all, in the soldering (distribution) box, it will be necessary to cut through two “windows” on both sides, so that you can install the switch and the twin socket. This can be done using a grinder or a drill.

Also in the box you need to make two more holes to install the cartridge and the base of the bulb. Next, you need to securely fix all the elements and connect the wires. In this case, you can twist the wires or use PPE.

At the last stage, the author proceeds to assemble this device - this is done very simply and quickly. For details on how to make a universal outlet for a repairman with your own hands, see the video on our website.
