In this review, the author shows how you can make an original mini fish pond with your own hands. And for this you do not need to dig a hole in the ground and cover it with a film - you just need to buy one watermelon (preferably an oblong shape).

First of all, it will be necessary to cut the watermelon in half, and with the help of a knife or spoon, remove the flesh. The author cuts one half of the watermelon peel again in half, but not across, but across.

Then all three pieces must be adjusted as close as possible to each other (so that there are no large gaps). Then they need to be laid on a "pillow" of sand.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to prepare a cement mortar, with which the author covers the "forms" of watermelon. For convenience, you can use a spoon (so that your hands do not get dirty).

In order for the pond base to stand steadily on the surface, it will be necessary to do something like legs. The author simply "molded" four balls of cement mortar, and "glued" them along the edges of the form.

After the solution has set, the watermelon peels will need to be carefully removed. The finishing touch is decorative design. The author decided to simply decorate the concrete "form" with small white pebbles.
