In this review, the author offers an interesting idea that can be used to decorate the interior of a room or even his own home workshop.
It will be about wooden hinges that can be adjusted to any size and used, for example, to install a cabinet door. The author makes loops from Brazilian cherry, but an ordinary oak or maple is also quite suitable.
The first step is to file the workpieces of a suitable size, and then glue them. After gluing, the author cuts a spike and a groove in the blanks (for their subsequent connection with each other).
The main stages of work
In the next step, we connect the workpieces together, and drill a through hole on the drilling machine. Further, the blanks will need to be given the desired shape.
Additionally, you need a round wooden stick from which the pin will be made. And after that, you can already begin to assemble the loops.
We connect together the two parts (according to the thorn-groove method), and then we hammer a wooden dowel into the hole. The protruding edges of the pin must be cut off with a band saw or a simple hand hacksaw.
After that, in the wooden hinges, it will be necessary to drill fixing holes with a drill, and then fasten the hinges to the cabinet door on the bolts.
