In this review, the author makes a useful device for the garage - a bearing puller. As a basis for this homemade product you will need a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 110 mm.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut a piece of pipe of suitable length. The edges of the cut must be sanded so that there are no burrs.
After that, the author cuts a piece of rectangular shape from a pipe. You don’t need to throw it away - it will come in handy to make another part for our homemade product.
The main stages of work
The piece cut from the pipe will need to be leveled with a sledgehammer and a heavy hammer. Then cut a circle with a diameter of 110 mm from the workpiece.
At the next stage, we weld the circle to the pipe and clean the welds. On the marked line, cut off an unnecessary piece.
After that, we cut out the groove in the welded lid using a grinder. The edges are then filed with metal.
The master uses this homemade product as a tooling for his homemade press. However, the bearing can also be removed with a hammer.
