If you want to decorate the roof of your house, you can use a weather vane for this. In this review, the author shows how to make it yourself.

Not only does this decorative element look very original, it also shows the direction and strength of the wind.

The stronger the spinner turns (the propeller), the faster the lumberjack cuts the tree. In general, the idea itself is cool. Yes, and make such a contraption the strength of everyone.

The main stages of work

First of all, the author cuts four blanks from the profile pipe (two long and two short) and drills holes in them.

Three pieces are welded together. We insert into the holes pieces of a metal bar with nuts welded at the ends. Slots are pre-made in the nuts.

We also insert the axis into the frame, on which we put the washers. They will need to be welded to the axis itself. The result should be something like a crankshaft.

After that, the author cuts out the numbers from sheet metal and welds them to four vertical rods.

Further, from the same sheet metal, the author cuts out decorative elements in the form of figures of a lumberjack and trees. They are welded to the top of the frame.

Note that the lumberjack figurine is movable and connects to the fifth vertical rod using a piece of wire.

At the last stage of the sheet metal, it remains only to make a wind vane (propeller), and weld it to the axis.
