Very soon, everyone’s favorite holiday, which gives magic and faith in a fairy tale, is the New Year. For many years in a row it has been customary to put a beautiful Christmas tree and decorate the house. But store toys of the same type - it is much more pleasant to do something with your own hands, because such an craft will give warmth, love and comfort. We offer you to make a Christmas mitten that will delight you from year to year.

Necessary materials:

felt of 2 shades (red and white);
white iris threads;
paper;
pencil or pen;
beads;
scissors;
cotton wool;
satin ribbon.

We make all seams with a double thread. For the contour it is better to use a thick needle. Suitable for needlework with a child from 7 years. A finished souvenir can be hung on a Christmas tree or decorate a house - for example, on a doorknob or on a carnation in the wall.

Do-it-yourself sewing New Year's mittens: a step-by-step master class

For work, we need a red felt; A4 format is enough.

On paper, draw a sketch of our future mittens.

Cut out. Fold the felt in half, apply and circle the blank. Cut out.

A small heart is cut out of paper on the eye.

We apply to our mitten: it should not creep over the edges and at the same time be too small.

We circle along the contour and cut it out. We do this with only one part of the workpiece.

A little more heart cut out a square of felt of white or milky hue.

We attach to the wrong side and sew with an even seam. Try to make the stitches and the distances between them the same.

If the corners come out, cut them.

On the wrong side, outline a snowflake.

We embroider a snowflake with beads or beads of medium size and a silver tint.

Fold 2 parts together and beautiful (make a loop and stretch the thread to form a knot) we connect the seam, leaving the top free.

Again we embroider a piece of white felt for the top of the mittens, which will imitate the fur.

Sew the seam forward with the needle.
Inside we stuff with cotton. Cut the red ribbon 15-20 cm long.

We put it on the side opposite from the thumb, and sew it inwards. New Year's mitten is ready.
