Remote control floodlight

In this master class I will remodel a searchlight with a motion sensor into a searchlight with a remote control.
A motion sensor is certainly good, but in some places it is not as useful as remote activation. I make this lamp for a garage, where it is always dark, and where there are many "blind" zones if you use a motion sensor.
If you use the spotlight without any modifications, then to light it you need to get into the range of the sensor, which is not always possible. And while you get to this zone you can break your legs. Also visibility for the sensor can be blocked by objects, cars, distance - a long corridor for example.

Another thing is a remote sensor. When he wanted to turn it on, he wanted to turn it off. Keychain - the switch is always on the belt or attached to the keys, which is very, very convenient.
There are many pluses, there are many objects where you can use this design. And I took a switch with two remotes. Another for father. There are many options. The main thing is that the remote control switch was designed for a voltage of 220 volts and a current of 10 amperes.

What do we need?

Floodlight. I took it old, but you can buy a new LED.
- LED Spotlight.
- Wireless light switch. With two remotes.

There are a lot of different remote switches on aliexpress. Your task is to choose that it be at a voltage of 220-230 volts (since most switches are 12 volts) and a current that will be more than the current consumed by your searchlight.
Here are cheaper models without a case, with one remote control, etc.
- Cheaper option with one remote control in the case.
All options - see.
Tool available: screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, etc.
We disassemble the motion sensor. We solder the wires from the motion sensor. I still have a passport from the searchlight, and I know where the wires go to the sensor. You can make out the spotlight if you don’t know where and what the wires are from.

The wires are short, I will lengthen them.

Lengthened the wires by soldering others. He put on a heat shrink tube and blew a hairdryer.

Scheme of connection to the remote control switch.

We connect according to the scheme.

We check.

If everything works, insert the circuit into the case. Lubricate the cover with a sealant (silicone can be used) for tightness and close it. Screw the screws and nuts.

When performing any manipulations, be careful! A voltage of 230 volts is life threatening.
Here is such a simple modernization and we have succeeded. I hope you find it useful.
