Making a small brooch in the shape of an owl is not difficult with your own hands. And let it become your companion, a symbol of wisdom.
For work, you will need only a few grams of spun wool, a felting needle, a foam sponge and accessories for a brooch. Wool is better to use several natural colors, for the eyes it is necessarily yellow and black.
A small lump of gray wool is taken, from which an oval shape is formed with a needle. In this case, all the fibers are pierced through the needle, evenly over the surface.
Working on the arm can cause injury. Therefore, a foam sponge should be used. Its thickness should be sufficient, not less than the length of the needle.
When the oval ball has become dense and elastic, it can be covered with a thin layer of woolen fibers of various natural colors. Shades of green, brown, black, gray are well suited. The upper part is best covered with black, thus indicating the place of the head.
Tap the needle across the entire surface so that the villi hold tight. After that, eyes are formed using yellow wool. A small pinch is taken. After that, it is divided in half, so that the eyes are the same size.
One part of the yellow fibers fits in place, the intended placement of the eye. Pierced in the center. After that, in a circular motion, all the fibers are collected from the edge to the center. It turns out a yellow circle. The second eye is also done.
Both wings are created simultaneously. They can be made of wool of one or several colors. The fibers are laid on a sponge in the form of equal strips. Tap hard across the surface. Needle pitch should be kept to a minimum.
When the hair is seized, symmetrical wings are formed with a needle.
Wings roll to the body from the back. Tapping the needle many times, they are firmly fixed.
To create pupils, you need two or three villi of black wool for each eye. They are stacked, pierced by a needle at one point. After that they gather in a small circle.
Paws are made in the same way as eyes. A small pinch of wool is divided in half, after which they are rolled over.
When the figure is ready, you need to sew the accessories. It is best to use a pin hairpin. It has a hole for sewing on, keeps firmly on the product.
To keep the work neat, the pin should be covered with woolen fibers, tearing them down.
The brooch remains to be finalized by removing all the protruding villi inside with a needle.
A cute, little owl will be not only a good sign, but also a fashionable, stylish decoration.
